A service people can use

muirkirk.info is being built to work across small screens, keyboards, screen readers and different ways of seeing and navigating.

Pre-launch notice reviewed 3 September 2026.

Accessibility target

The target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA. This is a target, not a current conformance claim: automated checks and manual assistive-technology testing must be completed and evidenced before public intake opens.

The public site uses semantic headings, labelled controls, underlined links, visible keyboard focus, 44px touch targets, responsive layouts and no essential decorative motion.

Using the service another way

Every embedded form must have a full-page Odoo link. Manual location text remains available when device location is unavailable or unwanted. Photographs are optional.

Once the contact routes are live, you can ask for information in a different format or request help using the service through hello@muirkirk.info. Do not send emergency or highly sensitive information by email.

What still needs testing

These release checks remain outstanding:

  • Keyboard-only use, focus order, error recovery and error summaries.
  • Representative screen readers on mobile and desktop.
  • Layout and content at 200% zoom, 400% text zoom and widths down to 320px.
  • Odoo's embedded and full-page forms, private links and portal pages.
  • Device-location and photograph controls on representative Android and iPhone devices.

Known dependency

The public pages are controlled by muirkirk.info, but the secure forms and account pages are supplied by Odoo. If embedding is unavailable, the full-page Odoo form remains the fallback. Only manual location text or labelled native Description may replace structured controls where the capability gate explicitly permits that; there is no separate manual intake channel. A serious barrier in essential intake blocks launch.

There is no claim yet that every third-party page reached through an official link meets WCAG 2.2 AA.

Report a problem

The intended accessibility contact is hello@muirkirk.info. That mailbox and an alternative correspondence route must be tested and published before intake opens. Include the page, what you were trying to do, your device or assistive technology if you are comfortable sharing it, and the format or adjustment that would help.

What happens next

Ian aims to acknowledge accessibility feedback and review requests within five working days, but this is not a guaranteed resolution time. Urgent safety matters must use the official route instead.

This statement will be updated after the first full manual audit and whenever a material accessibility limitation or fix is confirmed.
